Antonio “Tony” Socci, 91, of Stamford, CT, passed away on the morning of April 18, 2025, at Stamford Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Tony was born on November 4, 1933, in Settefrati, Frosinone, Italy, to the late Ercole and Maria (Macari) Socci. He immigrated to the United States at a young age and settled in Stamford, where he spent much of his life. For over 27 years, Tony worked at Pitney Bowes known for his strong work ethic and dedication. In addition to his work at Pitney Bowes, Tony was passionate about landscaping and spent much of his time tending to his garden, where he found peace and fulfillment.
Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. He was deeply devoted to his wife of 67 years, Emiliana “Apruzzese” Socci, and was a loving father to his children: Ralph Socci and wife Marie (children Michael and Paola, fiancé Lucian), Anna Marie Socci (son Eric, wife Caitlin, and great-granddaughter Emiliana), and Cristina Socci (fiancé Eric). He is also survived by his sister, Raffaela Castellucci (Albino), and his brother, Jack Socci. Tony was predeceased by his brothers, Joe Socci, Pete Socci, Leo Socci, and John Socci.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lacerenza-Macari Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will immediately follow at Saint John's Cemetery, located on Richard’s Avenue in Norwalk, CT.
