Elaine Brooks

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Elaine Marlene Brooks, who transitioned on August 8th, 2025, at the age of 69 at Stamford Hospital. Elaine was born on September 5th,1955 in Kingston, Jamaica. She was the loving daughter of the late Pernell and Lucille Brooks of Stamford. She was a nurturing and devoted mother to her daughter Kamilah.

Elaine will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and strength. She had a passion for cooking and baking. She was well known for her delicious rice and peas and Jamaican rum cake.

She is survived by her daughter, Kamilah Brown, grandchildren Ryan (RJ) Hines JR and Roshad (Shawdy) Hines, 1 Brother Barrington Brooks (Georgia), 4 sisters Denise Brooks, Valerie Patterson (Stamford), Colleen Brooks (England) and Pauline Brooks (Texas). She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial Celebration of her life will be held on August 29th, 2025, at Lacerenza-Macari Family Funeral Home in Stamford, CT with a wake from 10:00am -12:00pm, followed by a Going Home Celebration at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.

While our heart is heavy with her absence, we take comfort in the memories she leaves behind.
