Mrs. Emily (Emilia) Inzitari, age 96, passed away on February 24, 2026.

Emily was born on January 23, 1930 in Stamford, Connecticut, the devoted daughter of Giovanni Rosario and Josephine Acquila Vitti. Emily was educated in the Stamford school system and enjoyed working at Lord & Taylor for many years. She was honored for her outstanding work by being the recipient of Lord & Taylor's highest employee award the "Gold Medal".

She married the love of her life Albert Inzitari (who predeceased her) and they built a beautiful life, having four children and being surrounded by family and friends. She loved a good party and dancing, but big family get-togethers were her favorite.

Emily is survived by her sister JoAnn (John) Connelly, her sons Albert Inzitari Jr., Carmen Inzitari, Frank (Lori) Inzitari and her daughter JoAnn (John) Walicki. She is also survived by the loves of her life, her grandchildren Carmen and Jen Inzitari, John and Amber Inzitari, Anthony and Kitana Inzitari, Michael and Sarah Altman, Rich Inzitari, Gary and Britney Inzitari, Amanda Inzitari, Deanna and Phillip Witherall, Lisa and Anthony Maccarone, Jerry Sherwood, Frank Sessa, Michael and Marley Sessa and Anna and Will Sessa and several great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Emily was predeceased by her sisters Rose Gentile, Tesse Brill and Sylvia Cortez and her brothers Nick Vitti and John Vitti. She was also predeceased by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews that she had a great love for.

Family and friends will be received on March 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Lacerenza-Macari Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, Connecticut. A Funeral Mass will be held immediately following at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church also in Stamford. Burial will immediately follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien, Connecticut.

Emily leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, kindness, and enduring family bonds that will continue through the generations she so lovingly nurtured. A family is forever.
