Errol Linton king also known as "Carl" of Stamford Connecticut entered into eternal rest on Wednesday March 4th, 2026, at 2:17am. Errol was born on February 23rd, 1946, in Kingston Jamaica to the late Astley King and Una East. He grew up on Prince Albert Street in Allman town, Kingston.
After graduating from Kingston senior school in Jamaica, he worked for Keith Clark and company. He was also an apprentice as a carpenter and cabinet maker under his father's tutelage. Carl migrated to the United States in 1974 and worked as a carpenter in Suffolk County, long island for several companies. Seeking better work opportunities Errol relocated to Stamford Connecticut where he found employment with the town of Greenwich. He worked as a carpenter for the town of Greenwich for twenty-nine years retiring in 2015. Upon retirement and a desire to stay active he converted his garage into a workshop/man cave where he socialized with family and friends. Errol was an avid gardener, and it was a pleasure to sit and enjoy the beauty of his landscaping or to discuss the vegetables he planted for the summer. He was very generous in sharing the fruits of his labor.
Carl was a loving and dependable man. A devoted husband and father loved his siblings and was a loyal friend. He will always be remembered for his love of carpentry, gardening and cooking. It was a pleasure for him to get everyone together for barbeques where he could share his creativity for all around him.
Errol leaves behind to celebrate his memory his wife, Sandra; children, Jackie, Bernard, Everald, Ruel, Shanika, Tanya and Tameka; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers Donald and Glenford; sisters Marlene, Pamela and joy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by daughter Racquel, brothers Hemsley and Alvin, sisters Yvonne and Dorothy.
