Frances Marie (Rossi) (Cassone) McAleer

Frances Marie (Rossi) (Cassone) McAleer 'Fran', 99, a resident of Norwalk and Stamford CT, passed away on July 29, 2026.

Fran was born on January 19, 1927 in St John, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late Mildred and Victor Rossi.

Fran lived and raised her family in Stamford CT. After her husband Dominick Joseph Cassone 'Nick' passed in 1982, Fran continued working, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, entertaining, and traveling. In 1996, she married her dear friend and companion Joseph McAleer and they continued to enjoy life together until he passed.

She had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with friends and family and her dog Riley throughout the rest of her years.

Fran is survived by her children, Dominick J. Cassone 2nd (Kerry), Kim (Cassone) Drenckhahn (James, dec.), and Victor Cassone. She leaves her grandchildren Kristin Marcus, Jonathan Drenckhahn, Sarah Nieman-Albrycht, Benjamin Leopold, twelve great- grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, stepsons, nieces and nephews. Fran is also predeceased by her oldest daughter Catherine, her sister Virginia, and many dear friends.
