Fransisco Garcia, nacido el 22 de julio de 1942 en Guatemala, falleció en paz el 24 de febrero de 2026 a las 10:50 p.m. en el Hospital Bridgeport en Bridgeport, Connecticut. Falleció debido a complicaciones de edad avanzada y enfermedad tras una cirugía.
Francisco fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo devoto. Le precedieron en la muerte su hija María Isabel y su amada esposa, Petrona de Maria Oliva Díaz, quien falleció el 17 de febrero de 2026. Su amor y dedicación el uno por el otro eran evidentes para todos los que los conocieron.

Hombre trabajador y resiliente, Fransisco trabajó en jardinería y paisajismo por más de 25 años. Desde joven en Guatemala, amaba cultivar la tierra, cuidar el ganado y sembrar flores y vegetales. Su pasión por la jardinería y la belleza de la naturaleza lo acompañó durante toda su vida.

Francisco era conocido como un hombre alegre, cariñoso y fuerte. Lo que más feliz lo hacía era compartir tiempo con toda su familia. Sus momentos favoritos eran las reuniones de verano en el patio, rodeado de sus seres queridos, risas y unión familiar.
La familia desea extender su más sincero agradecimiento a los doctores y enfermeras del Hospital Bridgeport por su cuidado y compasión. Francisco Garcia, born on July 22, 1942, in Guatemala, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at 10:50 p.m. at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He passed due to complications from old age and illness following surgery.
Francisco was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his daughter Maria Isabel and his beloved wife, Petrona de Maria Oliva Diaz, who passed on February 17, 2026. Their love and devotion to one another were evident to all who knew them.
He was the cherished son of Cupertina and Rosendo Garcia.
Francisco leaves behind his loving children: Daniel, Jose, Luis, Alba, Beatriz, Lesbia, and Oscar. His legacy continues through his family, who were the greatest joy of his life.
From a young age in Guatemala, he loved cultivating land, caring for livestock, and planting flowers and vegetables. His passion for gardening and the beauty of nature followed him throughout his life even after he migrated to the U.S. to give his family a better life. A hardworking and resilient man, Fransisco worked in landscaping for over 25 years.
In the last four years of his life, he generously gave his time and talents to serve his church community, helping care for and maintain the church gardens. He found deep fulfillment in contributing to something larger than himself.
Francisco was known as a happy, caring, and strong man. What made him happiest was sharing time with his entire family. His favorite moments were the summer gatherings in the yard, surrounded by loved ones, laughter, and togetherness.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Bridgeport Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to the Koinonia Community Juan Bautista, especially Father Adriano, for his love, affection, and for accompanying Francisco until his final moments.
Visitation will be held on March 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at 8 Schuyler Avenue Stamford, CT 06902.
Fransisco Garcia will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the love he gave so freely to his family and community. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
