Gerald James Ursone, 75, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on November 16th, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 15, 1950, in Stamford, Gerald was the son of the late Frank Ursone and Mildred Gerardi Ursone. He was a proud graduate of Rippowam High School.
Gerald built a long and dedicated career as a plumber, working for W.R. Johnson for over 35 years before continuing his service with the City of Stamford for an additional 9 years. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he enjoyed giving back to his community.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; his daughter, Kelly, and her husband, Joe; and his son, Michael, and his wife, Jennifer. He is also survived by his sister, Donna, and her husband, Hector Jimenez. He is lovingly remembered by Leila and Jordyn, Michael's godchildren, with whom he shared many joyful moments. Gerald truly cherished the time he spent with them, always showing warmth, patience, and pride in their lives.
He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply. He was predeceased by his brother, Vincent Ursone.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or the Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org).
