Gertrude Mary McGrath

Gertrude Mary Mullins passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut. Gertrude was born on April 9, 1932, in Yonkers, New York. She graduated from Commerce High School in Yonkers, NY. She Married Timothy McGrath on September 20, 1952.

Gertrude devoted her life to her family and found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for those around her.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary McGrath and Robert McGrath; her daughters-in-law, Maria McGrath and Carrol McGrath; and her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Timothy McGrath, and her granddaughter, Gabriella Cartagena.

There will be no wake or viewing hours. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Bridget of Ireland Church in Stamford, Connecticut.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The GDC Project, in honor of Gabriella's legacy.
