Ida Ioanna

Ida Mafalda Ricciardi Ioanna passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age 93 in Stamford, CT. She was born in Montemarano, Italy on March 10, 1932 and married Antonio Ioanna on January 19, 1961. Ida and her family immigrated to Stamford in 1969. She was a homemaker and also worked at Grade A Markets. 

Ida was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Antonio. She is survived by her son Vincent and daughter-in-law Rita (DeRubeis) of Fairfield, CT and daughter Patricia (Ioanna) Griffo and son-in-law, Frank of Arizona. She is also survived by her two adoring granddaughters Nicole (Ioanna) Larson and husband Colin of Fairfield, CT and Kristine (Ioanna) Rufa and husband Nolan of Fairfield, CT and many nieces and nephews here and in Italy. 

Ida loved gardening with her husband. They grew tomatoes, beans, figs, grapes and many other vegetables in their huge garden which they shared with their neighbors, friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved feeding her family and especially making meatballs, pizza, pasta and cookies for her granddaughters. Ida was a wonderful wife, mother and Nonna and will be greatly missed by her entire family. 

Calling hours will be on Monday, October 20th at 9:00 AM at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT and burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
