Josephine Romaniello

Josephine C. Romaniello (Tootsie), 94, a resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on January 26, 2026.

Josephine was born on August 12, 1931 in Stamford, CT, the daughter of the late Angelo & Philomena (Latte) Cioeta. She graduated from Stamford High School. Josephine worked for the Stamford Public School System for many years.

Josephine is survived by her son James, Jr. (Sharon), her daughter Phyllis (David). Her grandchildren James, III (Chelsea), Brandon (Jessica), Tara (Peter) and Elyse. Her great grandchildren James, IV, William, Henry, Mackenzie, Carter, Madeline, Maya and Matthew. Josephine was predeceased by her husband of fifty years James, Sr.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A funeral mass will be held immediately after at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
