Monney Liberte, affectionately known as "Dada," 68, a longtime resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Stamford Hospital.
Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Monney was the son of Ovalia Durogene and the late Bensil Liberte. He completed his education in Haiti before moving to the United States to build a new life for himself and his family. He was a devoted partner, leader, provider, protector, and a truly great human being.
Monney was known for his incredible work ethic, most notably spending over 14 years at Trump Parc Tower, where his hard work and warm presence became a staple for many. Throughout his career, he also dedicated years of service to the Breakers Hotel, Doubletree, and Clairol.
A man of deep faith and simple joys, Monney enjoyed dancing and playing dominoes and cards with his friends. He found great peace attending church and participating in prayer groups alongside his wife. Above all, he loved traveling, especially returning to Haiti and exploring new places on vacation.
Monney is survived by his beloved mother, Ovalia Durogene; his devoted wife of 26 years, Rose; and his children: Benson, Jimmy ;wife Elcune,Christopher, Martine, James, Gabiola, and Merline. He also leaves behind his sister, Irma Noel, and her husband Guy, along with their children, Guy Jr. and Don; and five grandchildren: Aleah, Lexi, King-Monney, Mahalia, and Messiah. Longterm friends: Romel, Joseph, Evens, Seymond.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will take place immediately after at St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave, Darien, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist with a memorial fund in Monney's name. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all that was included or contributed to his care.
