Pauline Summa Silvester, beloved wife of the late Ralph Silvester, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at Norwalk Hospital following a brief illness at the age of 91. Born on October 15, 1934, in Stamford, Connecticut, Pauline was the daughter of the late Andrew and Felicia Summa.
A lifelong Fairfield County resident, she grew up in Stamford, graduated from Stamford High School in 1952, and worked for many years as a dedicated bookkeeper. After marrying Ralph, she made her home in Norwalk, where she lived for more than 60 years.
Above all else, Pauline cherished her family and found her greatest joy in bringing everyone together around her table. She hosted countless Sunday dinners that became treasured traditions, delighting loved ones with her homemade sauce, macaroni and meatballs, and her famous macaroni salad served at family barbecues. Her warmth, humor, and unmistakable "Summa laugh" filled every gathering, creating lasting memories that her family will cherish forever.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Roseann Silvester Nuzzo, and her husband, Dan; her cherished granddaughter, Denise Nuzzo; her beloved great-granddaughter, Camila Mesa Nuzzo; her brother, Andrew Summa; her sisters, Gloria Reed and Phyllis Saccomano; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
In addition to her beloved husband, Ralph, Pauline was predeceased by her sisters, Antoinette Wildey and Jeanne Avery, and her beloved grandson, Scott Nuzzo.
Pauline's legacy is one of love, laughter, and devotion to family. The memories she created and the joy she shared will remain with her loved ones always.
