Peter Lawrence Sabia

Peter Lawrence Sabia, age 90, of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026.

Born in Stamford on September 5, 1935, to Angelo and Mary Sabia. He proudly served for 20 years with the Stamford Police Department and later as a Judicial Marshal in the Stamford court system. In retirement, he enjoyed working as a crossing guard.

Peter is survived by his children, Mary Jane Sabia Karstensen; Elizabeth Wobschall (Steve); Charles Sabia (Tracy); Jacki Bannister (Don); Christina Sabia (Jacob); and Courtney Sabia. He was the proud grandfather of Patrick Karstensen (Jennifer), Nicole Reger (Joe), Matthew Ness (Kaitlin), Ryan McFarlane, Kyle Bannister, Nora Bannister, and Madison Bannister, and was blessed with eight great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, his twin brother John Sabia, his son-in-law Tim Ness, and his beloved grandson Michael Ness. Also survived by his former wives Janet Pucci and Lisa Zerrenner.
