Renee M. Uva of Sebastian, Florida died on August 9, 2025 at the age of 87 in Vero Beach, Florida. Renee was born on December 30, 1937 to Michael V. Higgins, Sr. and Sheila Higgins in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she was raised. After graduating from Greenwich High School in 1955, Renee worked for the Greenwich Trust Company, where she met the love of her life, Dominick Uva, Jr.
Dominick worked at Security Bank & Trust in Stamford, Connecticut, and the merger of those two banks soon resulted in the merger of their lives together. Dom and Renee were married on February 20, 1960 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Greenwich, and were blessed to enjoy a loving marriage of 65 years. Dom and Renee relocated from Connecticut to Florida in 2000.
Renee enjoyed going on cruises with Dom, spending time with family and friends, and doting on her children and grandchildren. She was warm and engaging, with a ready smile and a pleasant personality that quickly made her your friend.
She is survived by her husband, Dominick, of Sebastian, Florida; her son Nick Uva (Patricia) of Danbury, Connecticut; her daughter Stephanie Mastino (Christopher) of Fairfield, Connecticut; granddaughter Amanda Spath (Jaric) of Troutman, North Carolina; granddaughter Rebecca Uva of Danbury, Connecticut; grandson Nick Uva, Jr. (Alexandra) of Greer, South Carolina; grandson Vincent Mastino of Fairfield, Connecticut; granddaughter Isabella Mastino of Fairfield, Connecticut; and beloved great-grandchildren Brayden, Mason, and Lorelei. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Elinor Morgan of Sebastian, Florida, and Sheila Heberling of Vero Beach, Florida; her sisters-in-law Susan Higgins of Oxford, Connecticut and Gloria Uva of Stamford, Connecticut, and many loving nieces and nephews.
