Robert "Bob" Robustelli, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away November 18, 2025, at Stamford Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born January 8, 1953, in Stamford, CT to his parents Andrew Robustelli and the former Jeanne Dora. Bob was a lifetime supporter of athletics in his hometown and around the world. He was one of the most talented athletes Stamford has ever produced.

Bob graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1970. He excelled as a three sport athlete during his time at SCHS and was named the Most Valuable Player of the FCIAC championship during his senior year. He was a member of the 1971 Stamford Babe Ruth World Championship team which won the championship in front of a hometown crowd, Stamford CT hosting the tournament that year.

After pursuing a football career at the University of Connecticut, Bob would join the family business, Robustelli Travel in sales and event planning. He visited many countries during his tenure in the travel and hospitality business, often advocating for the expansion of football and baseball in Europe and Mexico. Following a career at Robustelli Travel, he returned to his alma mater, becoming the then Trinity Catholic High School's Athletic Director from 2016 to 2020.

Bob is perhaps best remembered for his 40-year dedication to youth sports in Stamford. During decades as a baseball manager at his beloved Springdale Little League and its successor league, Stamford Little League, and recently coaching flag football in Stamford's Flag Football program, Bob mentored and helped form hundreds of young players who remember him for his honest manner, old-world discipline and lifelong personal interest in their growth.

Perhaps Bob's greatest joy was family- countless pizza Fridays, Sunday family dinners, and the many golf matches he travelled to to see his grandson Chase play, and recently in coaching grandson Leo in baseball and flag football.

Bob was member of the Church of the Holy Spirit where he was an usher and member of the Men's Club, often flipping pancakes proudly at the pancake breakfasts.

In later years, he was an honoree in 2014 and member of the Stamford Old Timer's. He became its President this past year.

Bob's passing leaves a void that can never be filled.

Bob is survived by his wife Patti (Lacerenza), son Lucas (Kristen), and daughters Amanda Price (Jason), Brett-lyn Varelis (Stefanos), Kristen Delmonico (Barry), and Laura Smith (Cody). He leaves grandchildren Chase and Reese Robustelli, Owen Price, Leo Delmonico, Elle, Vivian, Archer and Colton Smith and their most recent addition, Konstantinos Robert Varelis.

He is also survived by his brothers Rick (Nancy), Tom (Terry), Chris (Bridget), Michael (Tracey) and John (Cathy) as well as sisters Laurie Salvatore (Bennett), Andra Compolattaro (Randy) and Tina Salvatore (Paul).

He is survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and childhood and sports friends whom he loved.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Jeanne Robustelli.
