Robert James Sabia Sr.

Robert J. Sabia Sr, affectionately known as "Bobby," passed away peacefully on august 31, 2026, at the age of 72.

 He was born on April 21, 1954, Bobby was a lifelong resident of Stamford, Connecticut, where he was born and raised. he graduated from the American School for the Deaf and went on to dedicate more than 30 years of service to the city of Stamford in the traffic division. his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to his community earned him the respect of colleagues and friends throughout his career.

 Above all else, Bobby was a devoted father whose greatest pride was his family. he is survived by his two sons, Robert J. Sabia Jr. and Brian Sabia. he was predeceased by his parents, Michael J. Sabia and Vincetta Sabia, and is also survived by his brother, Michael J. Sabia Jr.

 Those who knew Bobby will remember him as a hardworking man with a heart of gold. he was always willing to lend a helping hand and found joy in life's simple pleasures. he had a lifelong passion for cars and enjoyed building detailed model cars, a hobby that reflected his patience, creativity, and attention to detail.

 Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Lacerenza Macari Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. burial will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien .

 Bobby's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. his kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.
