Rosalie S. Cross

Rosalie S. Cross passed away on Monday, October 27th, 2025, at the Villa of Stamford at the age of 93.

Born on September 11, 1932, in Stamford, CT. She was the daughter of the late Angelo V. Sabia and Anna Havryluk Sabia. While growing up she attended Stevens School, Cloonan Jr. High School and Stamford High School, graduating in 1950. She then went to work at Stamford Fidelity Bank and Trust Company which led her to a career in banking in positions of Asst. VP and Bank Manager in Westport, Wallingford and Meriden.

Rosalie was an active volunteer for her church, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Meriden. She volunteered for the Meriden WYCA in various roles. She worked on fund raisers to benefit women and their families. Rosalie was also involved in community events in Wallingford.

Rosalie was an avid sports fan. She especially loved snow skiing and skied in the USA and other countries.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Arlene Veronica Sabia.

Rosalie is survived by a brother, Ronald (Louise) Sabia, sister Karen Sabia, nephew, Brian (Lisa) Sabia, niece, Heather Sabia and 2 great nieces, Kristen and Jenna Sabia.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
