Russell "Buzzy" Edmond Hart Jr., born on April 13, 1940, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 85. He was a resident of New Iberia, LA.
Known affectionately by everyone as "Buzzy," he was loved for his warm spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Russell proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base. He served for four years and was honorably discharged. He loved reading western novels, and in his younger days enjoyed playing tennis with his wife. Together, they traveled widely throughout the United States and around the world, visiting Rome, Spain, Morocco, the Caribbean, and many other places. His favorite travels were to Ireland, where he visited family and embraced his heritage. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
Most important in his life were his grandchildren. He loved them immensely. He will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Marie (Abshire-Ransonet), his son Cryne Patrick Hart, and his daughter Suzanne Hart Noble (Shawn). He is also survived by his two beloved grandchildren, Alexis Hart Noble Woody (Tanner) and Parker James Noble, who were the most important part of his life and whom he adored beyond measure. He leaves behind his nephew Frank B. Page, niece Megan K. Page Henion (Greg), his nephews Michael Macari and Jerry Macari, as well as Diane Macari Pastor and Keith Buoy. He is also survived by his favorite sister-in-law, Emily Ransonet Kyzar (James) and brother in laws Clifford Ransonet (Wanita), and Anthony Ransonet (Marcelle) along with many friends and cousins throughout the United States and Ireland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Helen (Cryne) Hart, his beloved nephew Terrence Page, his sister Jacqueline "Jackie" Hart Page, his grandparents John and Margaret (O'Grady) Cryne and John and Julia (Ryle) Hart, and J. Joseph and Dorothy (Downey) Hart.
Burial will take place at a later date in the family plot at St. John's Cemetery in Connecticut.
