William Stassano

William Stassano "Bill" or "Stass", 68, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on May 10, 2026, at Stamford Hospital.

Bill was born on December 21, 1957, in Stamford, CT, the son of the late Frank and Jennie (Siclari) Stassano. He graduated from JM Wright Technical High School.

Bill worked as a carpenter for Creative Carpentry, which he owned alongside his best friend and business partner Thomas Pavia. He was an avid golfer and spent years coaching youth sports.

Bill is survived by his daughter Brittany Stassano, mother-in-law Claudia Milone, sisters-in-law Cathy (Matt) Boulanger and Kim (Larry) Baker, his nieces and nephew, many cousins, and his girlfriend Cheryl Lupinacci.

Bill is predeceased by his wife Barbara Stassano and sister Janet Stassano.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 15th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 16th at 10:30am at The Church of Saint Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will immediately follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, 156 Erskine Road, Stamford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stamford Old Timers Athletic Association.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Stamford Hospital and the Bennett Cancer Center along with the Belltown Fire Department and Stamford EMS for their care.
