Richard D. Lacerenza President / Funeral Director

Son of our founder Anthony D. Lacerenza, Richard was President and Funeral Director of Lacerenza Funeral Home from 1949- 2016. He set the standard in funeral care in the greater Stamford area for over 65 years. Richard passed away March 2, 2015.

 Jerry is the fourth generation of our family to serve “Lacerenza’s”. He is the President and Senior Director at Lacerenza’s, with ten years’ experience serving Stamford area families.  Born and Raised in Stamford, Jerry graduated from Westhill High School and Lincoln College of New England where he obtained a degree in Mortuary Science. He is a member of the CFDA, and NFDA and  is involved in various community organizations and clubs, and is active with Stamford Recreation. All preparation services are done on Lacerenza's premises . Jerry, learned the art from several well rounded embalmers as well as attending  many training seminars throughout the country .  He lives in Stamford with his wife, the former Amy Serricchio and their four children.

Jerry is a licensed funeral director at Lacerenza’s. Jerry has served Lacerenza services, wakes, memorials and other funeral planning for nearly twenty years.

Jesse Latorraca Licensed Funeral Director jesse@lacerenzafh.com

Our newest team member Jesse was born and raised in Stamford. He graduated from Westhill High School and University of New Haven. He then attended The American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City and graduated. Soon after becoming licensed he accepted a position at his Alma Mater in the city where he now teaches Embalming and Cremation courses. Growing up Jesse played baseball for North Stamford Little League. While attending Westhill he was active in their theater program but nowadays he can be found on stage at Curtain Call

Toni Lacerenza Licensed Funeral Director

Toni has been a licensed funeral director at Lacerenza’s for over twenty years. She is the daughter of Richard, our past-president and served under him from 1998 continuing till the present. She handles all facets of funeral care.

John Rubino Funeral Assistant

John is a life-long resident of Stamford. He graduated from Rippowam High School and Central Connecticut State University. John also served as a United States Marine where he received and honorable discharge. John continues to be involved with Community based volunteer work with the Marine Corps League & other various organizations. John recently became a “Double Donor” after donating his kidney to a young woman in 2019 and a portion of his Liver to a baby in 2022.
You can see John's familiar face working the door, driving vehicles and being involved with all aspects of the funeral . We are committed and honored to continue to serve the Stamford community.
